I adore awards season, mainly because of the fashion on the red carpet, so I've decided to compile a little list of my best & worst dressed people at The Emmy Awards this year. So here goes...

BEST DRESSED


Tina Fey
I love this look on Tina mainly because it's nice to see her in something femine, as opposed to her masculine wardrobe as Liz Lemon on 30 Rock! The print is out there, but i think it really works well with the cut of the dress. 8/10

Amber Riley
I think this dress is stunning on Amber, the white really works well on dark skin & the design of the dress is really accentuating her curves, without highlighting them for the wrong reasons. This dress is so right! 8/10

Kelly Osbourne
Kelly looks amazing here. I think black suits absolutley everyone & you can't really go wrong. The diamond design on the bottom of the dress is a risky choice, one with I think works wonderfully. 7/10

THE FABOOSH


Heidi Klum
Does Heidi ever look bad?! I'm starting to wonder. This dress is stunning! Wearing a short dress to an awards ceremony that isn't the Teen Choice Awards is always risky, but this is just amazing. The detail of the dress is really what makes it. I love this look from beautifully coiffed hair to gorgeous studded heels. 10/10

THE WORST


January Jones
This dress is all wrong from the ill-fitting bustier, to thhe asymetrical hem, to the vile fabric, it's just a terrible choice. The way the dress hangs is not flattering at all. The only redeeming feature of this dress is the colour & the way in which it has been styled. 4/10

Anna Paquin As much as I love Ms Sookie Stackhouse, I just can't stand this dress. She looks like a spanish matador, the fabric looks cheap & the hair is wrong (unless she wanted to look like a matador, in that case it's perfect). The jewellery looks like she got it all at Claire's. tut tut! 2/10

THE HIDEOUS


Lily Tomlin & Mindy Kalling
Seriously where do I start?
First of all Lily's outfit is just heinous! She looks like she's going to an OAP dinner. the zebra print just really isn't working for her, niether is the hessian sack skirt & as for the tacky "primark" belt... 0/10

Mindy's explosion of a dress is just dreadfull, there's more netting on that dress than Malaria nets in the entirety of Africa! the colour is just so bland & boring. Don't even get me started on the hair, she looks like a chavvy 14 year old girl hanging outside McDonalds, popping gum & shouting abuse at passers by. BAD TIMES! -5/10

Don't Be Jealous Of My Boogie...

I absolutley ADORE Rupaul & think his music is actually really good. I’m sure alot of people write it off as just silly dance music, sung by a silly drag queen, but it’s more than that. I know it just dance fluff, but it’s really great to dance too & Ru is actually quite a good singer.

I saw RuPaul live at G-A-Y in the Astoria a few years ago & thought he was thoroughly fab & had such a great time. I love RuPaul’s Drag Race & I’ve been watching it all online, exept for the finale of season 2 as it’s the only episode thats not available online, so I’m gonna have to download it at some point!

I love doing drag, I just wish I had the guts to go out like it. I’m going to Tranny Shack soon, so watch this space… maybe… lol

Katy Perry is Fucking Adorable

There, I said it!
I think Katy Perry is fucking adorable. I've always liked a bit of K Pez, but ever since she's tamed the beast that is Russell Brand I have a new found respect for her. I think that her & Russell are a perfect couple, they both have a little bit of edge, both in completely different ways & that totally works for them.

I'm really loving Katy's whole blue hair thing, the only word I can use to describe it is adorable! I don't know what it is about her, but I just can't help thinking she is the most adorbs person on this planet right now!

Her new song Teenage Dream is sooo good, it's definatley one of my favourite songs of 2010 so far! It's so feel good, I just love it!

Once again the only words I can use to describe Katy in this video is FUCKING ADORABLE!!! what is it about this woman that I love so much?! Maybe it's because we're twins...

It's been a while...

Hey, sorry I haven't posted in while, it's just that I've had lots of work to do this term. the majority of it group work! I just did a performance & now I'm doing a project to do with my Engaging Performance module. (bullshit, worst module ever!)

I saw Lady Gaga last weekend, it was amazing, but the seats weren't very good, so didn't really get that involved, if u know what I mean, BUT she is coming back to the O2 in May, so me & a few friends are gonna try to get standing tickets!!! :D
I also saw Mika on the Sunday, with my friend Nikki, had an amazing time as usual! :D
I'm super excited because Me & all of my uni friends are going to Manchester next weekend!!! I've never been & have always wanted to, ever since I watched Queer As Folk for the first time! :D

Ok so any music I'm into atm?... I can honestly (& unashamedly) say that I've been listening to alot of Steps lately! just reminding me of my youth! lol "It's The Way You Make Me Feel" is one of my faves! lol Also Gaga has been high on my playlist, (as usual) After seeing her live I felt let down by the performance of Dance In The Dark, so I can't stop listening to that, maybe to make up for it! lol

It's oscars time soon!!! can't wait for the red carpet...

In my opinion the BEST DRESSED woman at the Screen Actors Guild awards was Sandra Bullock HANDS DOWN! Alot of people are saying that Kate Hudson was the best dressed, but in a white backless gown, it's all been done before! I thought Sandra's Black & Blue embellished Alexander McQueen gown suited her body perfectly! Her make up was demure & her hair was bang on trend!

Avenue Q

I went to see Avenue Q for the first time last night & I absolutley loved it! I thought it was really funny and well written. The songs were really good & pushed every possible boundary, ie. Racism, Sexuality & porn! lol
The main attraction of the show was the lead actor; Daniel Boys! I AM IN LOVE!!!
He gorgeous, funny & a really great singer! I went with my friend Marie & throughout the night she as taunting me because he was straight, but when we got home I found out that he is GAY GAY GAY!!! In your face Marie! lol

It's Noice, It's Different, It's Unuusual...

I've been back at Uni just over a week now. At first I felt really sad that I had to leave home & missed my family, especially my mum for the first few days, but I settled back into Uni life again, the drinking, the lectures, the sleeping until 2pm, that kind of thing.

I'm going home this weekend which will be nice. I always find that 2 weeks in London is the perfect amount of time, because I'm not desperate to stay or desperate to leave either, it's a happy medium! Since being back at Roehampton I've rediscovered my love for the Australian comedy show "Kath & Kim"! it's just so funny! I think the reason why the American version never took off is simply because everything is funny in a thick australian accent, wheres an american accent isn't as funny, it's just annoying after a while! lol

I used to detest Drop Crotch/Harem Pants, but now I'm starting to see the benefits; comfort & style, which is a rare find! I really want a pair & have tried some womens ones on in Primark & they were so sheer you could see my blue underwear underneath & I wasn't down with that! lol

Back in Roey...

So I'm back at Uni now, I had to come back yesterday because the snow in my hometown is absolutley mental & didn't wanna get caught in it, so my mum drove me up a day early.
When I first got back I was a little sad because I'd been so used to my home comforts & seeing my mum everyday & knew that I'd have to get readjusted with Uni life, but after a while I got settled back in. I sorted everything in my room, put up my Zac Efron calendar, plugged in my new speakers & was sorted.
I spent my evening with my friend Aimee, we played scrabble, snakes & ladders & bop it, all whilst drinking obv! lol then we decided to have a snow fight, which was absolutley mental! lol
We also found a snowman duck someone had made, then named it Waddles & proceeded to murder it! lol

Everyone is back tonight, so hopefully there should be a big party! I can't wait to see Gary, Marie & Line <3

I think this is a great idea as I love Polaroids & I love Gaga! 2 very original things coming together to make what I'm sure is going to be something amazing! I absolutley adore Katy Perry.

I've just seen a few new pictures on cocoperez.com & I think she looks absolutely beautiful & I'm so glad she has settled down with Russell Brand, I think they are perfect for eachother & can tame eachother, in all the right ways. I really hope they work it out!

I've seen Katy Perry live at Brighton last year & I hate to say that I was rather dissapointed! Sure she looked gorgeous & her songs were sung well, she just couldn't hold the audiences attention & she just kept talking! I doubt I'd go see her live again.

Let It Snow???

Snow...

On one hand I love it! it takes me back to being a kid, playing in the snow & just having a laugh about. On the other hand it fucks everything up! I'm going back to London on Sunday, but it says on BBC Weather that there is going to be heavy snow in Roehampton, but in Tonbridge the snow will be light, whereas on Saturday it's the complete opposite.

The main roads should be clear & it's main roads all the way from Tonbridge to Roehampton, so fingers crossed I'll be able to get back...

Le Dentist

I just got back from having a Root Canal at the dentist! let me tell you one thing! it FUCKING hurts!!! my dentist was all like "no it wont hurt, it'll be fine" LIAR! lol

I've been having pain in this tooth for quite some time now & I arranged to have it taken out, but when I got there my dentist as adamant that I shouldn't have it taken out, because it can be saved & that I'd regret it. so she agreed to give me a root canal for the same price as an extraction, which was really nice of her!

So here I am, curled up in bed, I've taken 2 Ipbuprofen & 2 Cocodamol & I've got a hot water bottle wrapped in a pillow case resting on my face! lets hope the pain goes away!

Another Rant...

This time about Perez Hilton...

He used to be awesome, but now he is a bitchy, fame hungry twat! I've been reading PerezHilton.com for about 5/6 years now & I remember how he used to be a bit of a bitch, but not in the malicious way he does now.

He is such a hypocrite, calling people out on things they have done, but if Lady Gaga was to do the same, to him it would be innovative, amazing & fresh! If Gaga walked down the street covered in monkey shit he would say it's the best thing to EVER happen! He also seems to think that he is Gaga's BFF, but you can clearly tell he is not, sure they're probably friends, but not in the way he makes out. He always refers to her as Wifey on his website, yet it seems like he has no clue what is going on with her life or career, not at least until everyone else does. When you see photos of them together he seems to be desperatley clinging onto her (& her fame).

He barrates celebs like Lindsay Lohan & Heidi Montag, calling them fame whores, when he is just the same as they are, even worse, because at least they can admit that they a fame hungry, Perez pretends that he isn't, he pretends that he is still the same humble guy, sitting in the coffee shop where he used to write, when we all know he is a fame whore himself!!!

Quick Rant

Why are the banks such twats?

I want to extend my overdraft, as promised that I could in January when I signed up for a student account at Lloyds TSB. So I called them up & they said I'm not eligible at the moment, it could be because it's just not ready yet, or because of a poor credit rating.

I told the woman on the phone that I had been promised this overdraft extenstion & that the fact that the overdraft was teired was why I was interested in it & she then tells me that I might not be eligible if I have a bad credit rating, which I do. This is totally annoying because the whole reason we are in a bloody recession is because the banks borrowed money that they didn't have & now they're are telling me I can't extend my overdraft because I might not have the money to pay it back. I explained to them that I get a student loan, but I think the woman on the phone was just a bitch.

I'm going to The Hop House resturant with one of my best friends Fran tonight! it's kind of our "thing", everytime I'm back from Uni we always go for a meal, usually at The Hop House, becasue meals are 2 for £10.

I've spent most of this Christmas holiday with Fran, & I know I'm really gonna miss her when I go back on Sunday, but she is coming up to see me on 6th Feb. She has said she would come up a few times before, but it just never happened. I REALLY hope she comes up this time!

Missing Persons

My friend Emily has an acquired taste in music & she is always introducing me to wierd & wonderful artists & music. (sometimes they aren't so wonderful lol)
the other day Emily introduced me to an 80s New Wave band called Missing Persons. she told me about them because the lead singer is very similar to Lady Gaga & it's obvious how she has been an influence.

I listened to them & I really love them now, their music is quintisentially 80s! it's so mellow and electronic, even the up tempo songs have a kind of melancholy, ballad like quality, & I love that!

I didn't really bother with it until about 3 days ago when I was flippantly scanning through Surf The Channel, when I saw Glee Season One & then remembered about this amazing HSM inspired show & clicked on it.

OMG I was in LOVE!!! it was everything I could hope for! There was drama, there was lies, there was beautiful men, but best of all; there was SINGING!!!
